Director, Social Media Full Time

Summary

The Director of Social Media Production at SHIRLYN.CO will be responsible for assembling a team to oversee all U.S. social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest. This role will focus on devising innovative strategies to enhance our presence on social media. The Director of Social Media and their team will serve as the company’s hub for staying updated on pop culture, trends, and the latest innovations in the field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and explore emerging social platforms while nurturing creative ideas for engagement.
• Ensure timely responses to comments on all social accounts to enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate closely with the PR team to manage negative comments and handle crisis situations effectively.
• Continuously expand TikTok and Instagram follower counts.
• Lead monthly brainstorming sessions for social activation initiatives.
• Manage relationships with influencer agencies.
• Develop strategies for reaching and engaging new customer demographics, specifically Millennials and Gen Z.
• Create and oversee the U.S. social media budget.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 7 years of experience in consumer brand management and/or expertise in Media Creative agencies.
• Ideal candidates will have a personal network of influencer talent and a knack for identifying emerging talent.
• Proven track record of growing small accounts from thousands to millions of followers.
• Proficiency in Instagram and TikTok.
• 4-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and intuition.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, agile work environment.
• Effective task management across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
